Ask and Die

The contest stipulates a female Japanese assassin. So I got to thinking. (Maybe I'm overthinking? This would be the first OC I design.)
Meet Ayame. Sold to a geisha house at a young age, Ayame was taught to dance and play shamisen. However, in addition to selling entertainment, her house also sold death. Many of their best clients also engaged in dangerous political games.

Thus, maiko are trained not only in how to entertain but also how to kill. To aid them, all the women were equipt with descrete weapons. The geisha house operated in complete secrecy. Thus, only objects typically found on geisha could be allowed, such as hair pins, fans, and at most a short knife for self defense. However, the hair pins were typically tipped in poison and the fans lined with metal. Only discrete hits were allowed. Only the highest paying patrons would ask for a more direct execution. In this case, any from the geisha house caught would be immediately excommunicated from the house.

That's as far as I got on backstory! Maybe I'll go back and fill in.
